If you are experiencing slowness in loading documents to the MT platform, it is a good idea to test the connection between your internet service provider (ISP) and Scribe.
1) Test the connection between your ISP and Scribe.
| • | Go to the start menu on your computer and select "Run." T |
| • | Type in “cmd ” and hit "Enter." |
| • | Type in “tracert www.scribe.com ” and hit "Enter." |
If any of the numbers that come up are over 50 milliseconds, contact your ISP about slow connectivity.
2) Go to www.dslreports.com.
| • | Select “tests” from the menu on the left hand side of the screen. |
| • | Then select “speed” test. |
| • | It will come up with a list of test providers. You can find one for your city and state from the menu (there’s a hyper link that says “choose from x number of providers…”). |
| • | Once you select a provider, the test should run. If it asks you for a
password, call the tech number they provide and get one. It’s a free service, and the password changes daily. |
| • | This will run the test. You should have at least 1 MB of throughput. |
If there is not 1MB of throughput, contact your ISP.
Please contact Scribe Customer Service at 866-672-7423 (866-SCRIBE) with any questions you have about this or other uses of the Scribe MT Platform.
